Responsibilities

Act as the main Grantek representative at client locations, cultivating relationships, understanding their requirements, and discovering new project opportunities.
Assess potential projects by developing technical proposals, defining scope, creating budgets, and scheduling timelines.
Oversee project execution from initial planning to on-site commissioning, including managing resources and tracking progress.
Develop and maintain process control PLC/PAC programs using Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
Configure HMI and SCADA visualizations via FactoryTalk View SE or similar platforms.
Communicate project developments, milestones, and deliverables effectively to clients and internal teams.
Identify risks in projects and devise mitigation strategies.
Commission new system implementations at client sites, while identifying areas for improvements and additional services.
Produce diverse documentation such as proposals, engineering reports, design traceability records, and case studies.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless project delivery through all phases.
Follow up on quotes and maintain consistent bidding processes adhering to corporate standards.
Continuously expand technical knowledge and mentor peers in your areas of expertise.

Technologies Involved

Process Automation Platforms including Rockwell Automation PlantPAx DCS, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, FactoryTalk Batch, and FactoryTalk Historian.
Wide range of PLC programming tools (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Siemens, Omron, Modicon, GE).
Networking technologies such as Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus, and Modbus.
HMI and SCADA platforms like FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Wonderware, Schneider Electric, and Ignition.
Servo motion and vision control platforms including Kinetix, Emerson, Cognex, and Keyence.
Manufacturing execution system platforms including FactoryTalk ProductionCentre and Sepasoft.
High-level programming languages: C#, HTML5, .NET, SQL, VB, VBA.
Database management with Microsoft and Oracle systems.
Operating systems experience spanning Microsoft Windows, Unix, and Linux.
Project documentation using Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (completed or forthcoming) in Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
Preferred 8-10 years hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation PlantPAx DCS and Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
Knowledge of PlantPAx process objects, alarm management, and batch control is desirable.
Experience with Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform (Vision & Perspective) is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong grasp of process control fundamentals such as PID tuning, regulatory control, and batch sequencing.
Interest and/or experience in project management covering scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and teams.
Ability to clearly evaluate client needs and translate them into detailed technical proposals.
Self-driven, well-organized, capable of both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
Valid driver’s license and full-time access to a personal vehicle.
Willingness to travel between 15% to 30% across the USA and Canada.

Compensation and Culture

The position offers an annual salary range of $80,000 to $95,000, complemented by benefits, bonuses, and compensation for extra hours.
