Quality Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality management system at our client's manufacturing facility in Bremerhaven, Germany. This role involves direct reporting to senior leadership and entails full responsibility for the implementation and continuous improvement of quality processes. You will oversee a team of quality professionals and act as the primary liaison for quality-related matters with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and manage the quality management system adhering to industry standards.
• Maintain and enhance the quality management manual and associated standards.
• Develop, update, and document the quality management system.
• Lead preparation for and execution of internal and external quality audits.
• Perform root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and mentor a small team of quality experts.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Provide an annual effectiveness and compliance report of the quality management system to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum seven years’ quality management experience in electrical, aerospace, aviation, automotive, or mechanical engineering sectors.
• Professional certifications such as Quality Management Representative, Internal/External Auditor or equivalent; familiarity with quality standards like IATF 16949, EN 9100, ISO 9001, IRIS/ISO 22163 is preferred.
• Proven leadership in quality management within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong expertise in quality management systems, methodologies, and technical documentation.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
