About the Role

ASIA Prime General Contracting Co. L.L.C., a multifaceted main contractor in the UAE, is looking for a proficient Quantity Surveyor to become a part of our Estimation Department. The position emphasizes quantity take-offs and meticulous review of tender documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately derive quantity take-offs from architectural drawings, detailed specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Examine tender documentation to detect inconsistencies, omissions, or gaps in scope.
• Generate Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and gather pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the preparation of cost estimations, rate calculations, and tender proposals.
• Create Tender Inquiry Forms along with Specification Review Matrices.
• Identify and recommend value engineering initiatives to enhance cost efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with Planning, Cost Control, Engineering, and Operations departments through the tender processes.
• Maintain updated tender addenda and keep precise estimation records.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Have at least 3 to 4 years of UAE-based experience focusing on quantity surveying and estimation within building construction projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of quantity take-offs, BOQs, tendering procedures, cost forecasting, and rate analysis.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using CCS Candy or similar estimation software is considered beneficial.
• Well-versed with construction standards and tendering practices prevalent in the UAE.
• Exhibit strong analytical capabilities along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
