Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview

Saipem is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation engineering. Candidates should possess between one to five years of professional experience. The role focuses on understanding and managing quantities relevant to construction projects across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key Knowledge Areas

• Preparation and comprehension of Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Material Take-Off (MTO) processes
• Quantity determination based on 2D technical drawings

Measurement Familiarity

• Civil construction components, including concrete, formwork, and reinforcement
• Structural steel elements
• Basic understanding of piping and mechanical items
• Fundamental awareness of electrical and instrumentation components

Work Context Awareness

• Quantification of construction deliverables
• Monitoring project progress measurements
• Providing billing support for subcontractors

Software Proficiency

• Proficient in MS Excel for data management and analysis
• Capability to read AutoCAD drawings and extract relevant quantities

Behavioral Competencies

• Strong communication skills to facilitate clear understanding and collaboration
• Ability to accurately follow directives and benefit from mentorship of senior Quantity Surveyors
