Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time role working day shifts at the AdventHealth facility located at 601 E Rollins St, Orlando, Florida, 32803.
Role Overview
The Research Data Analyst II is responsible for analyzing qualitative and quantitative clinical, financial, and administrative data. This includes synthesizing outcomes into comprehensive reports, scorecards, and dashboards. The role requires developing and maintaining performance measurement systems such as databases, benchmarking tools, KPI frameworks, and reporting platforms. Regular extraction and mining of data from diverse sources are essential to support research protocols and feasibility studies.
The analyst acts as an institution-wide Honest Broker, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies for de-identification and limited data set dissemination. Collaboration with scientists, research coordinators, assistants, and program managers is necessary for protocol discussions and data extraction optimization. Maintaining positive relationships with clients to translate business requirements into technical specifications is crucial.
Additional duties include managing complex datasets via aggregation, cleaning, and validation to produce insightful reports, supporting operational and financial analyses to guide strategic decisions, and working with analytics teams to enhance reporting products.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with desktop software: MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication, adaptable for diverse audiences
- Ability to summarize data insights clearly and facilitate result discussions
- Self-motivated with strong collaboration skills across interdisciplinary teams
- High attention to detail ensuring thorough project completion
- Experience utilizing data mining and extraction tools
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and adapt priorities under deadlines
- Familiarity with data visualization and statistical analysis software such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Minitab, R, Stata, or SAS
- Knowledge of data management practices and tools, preferably MS Access and SQL
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Degree preferably in business, healthcare, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline
- One to two years of relevant analytical experience preferred, including healthcare organizational experience
Additional Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM)
- Honest Broker Certification (HB)
Other Information
The position is subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, to comply with state regulations. Applicants can review screening requirements through the state's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
