Position Overview

The Reservations Agent will manage inbound and outbound communications to handle hotel reservations effectively, ensuring an outstanding experience for guests from initial inquiry to booking confirmation. This role includes promoting room options and offers, maintaining accurate guest and reservation data, and coordinating with internal teams for special requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing reservation calls, emails, and online queries professionally.
• Create, update, and cancel bookings accurately using the Property Management System.
• Market various room types, packages, and upgrades to optimize hotel revenue.
• Upsell and cross-sell services in line with revenue goals and strategies.
• Provide precise details about availability, rates, facilities, and hotel policies.
• Resolve guest inquiries and complaints promptly with professionalism.
• Maintain thorough and accurate guest profiles and reservation records.
• Ensure all reservations adhere to rate plans, contracts, promotional codes, and hotel standards.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Sales, and Revenue Management teams regarding guest requirements.
• Follow established reservation protocols, brand standards, and operating procedures.
• Uphold payment, cancellation, and no-show policies consistently.
• Protect guest data privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in hotel reservations or front office operations; supervisory experience is favorable.
• Proficient in using Property Management Systems such as Opera.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities and organizational skills.
• Adept at multitasking and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications and reservation technology tools.
