About the Role
Footy Depot is seeking highly motivated Retail Associates to join their team at locations including 75 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA, and 1245 Worcester St, Natick Mall. This role involves engaging with customers, providing expert advice on soccer merchandise and trading cards, and helping achieve sales goals to promote the brand effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and interact warmly with customers entering the store
- Evaluate customer needs and offer tailored product recommendations
- Handle cash transactions and manage payment processing accurately
- Work towards achieving or surpassing sales objectives
- Inform customers about current sales and promotions
- Apply upselling techniques to enhance store revenue
- Represent Footy Depot positively and professionally
- Maintain store appearance through cleaning and restocking before, during, and after hours
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for soccer and familiarity with related merchandise or trading cards
- Have a minimum of one year of experience in retail, sports, or customer service roles
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or be working towards one
- Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Capable of meeting or exceeding specified sales and customer service targets
- Comfortable engaging directly with customers
- Basic computer literacy, with POS system knowledge considered advantageous
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including Sundays (at least three days per week)
- Physically able to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and move extensively on the sales floor and stockroom
- Understand and utilize basic retail metrics and KPIs to support store operations
Physical and Work Environment Demands
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds using proper techniques
- Work is conducted in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail setting
- Shifts include non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
Compensation and Contact
