SAI Coordinator

Job Overview

The SAI Coordinator demonstrates leadership modeled on the example of Jesus Christ, empowering those under their care and skillfully managing Seminary and Institute (S&I) programs within a designated region. This leadership role involves managing personnel while reinforcing unity. The Coordinator should possess extensive experience in education, training, communication, resource management, and staff development. The position's mission is to help youth and young adults strengthen their commitment to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, preparing them and their families for eternal life.

Key Duties

• Collaborate with area and regional directors, local church leaders, and teaching staff to set objectives, devise plans, and drive participation growth in seminary and institute programs.
• Enhance educational quality and evaluate the experience of all youth and young adult learners, including those with disabilities.
• Develop the teaching abilities of stake-appointed instructors through regular training, observations, constructive feedback, and resource sharing based on 'Teaching in the Savior’s Way.'
• Manage the annual operating budget, monitor financial performance, and protect church assets.
• Customize S&I curriculum and establish pacing guides tailored to local requirements.
• Conduct S&I classes utilizing the Savior’s teaching approach as needed.
• Maintain an up-to-date professional development plan, advancing personal goals, and provide progress reports to supervisors.
• Foster a Christ-centered culture emphasizing unity, continuous improvement, and accountability.
• Oversee staff including full-time, part-time employees and volunteers.
• Work with Human Resources to provide input on staff hiring, promotions, and employment changes within the team.
• Participate in ongoing training at various organizational levels.
• Handle program operations, reporting, and resource management.
• Travel may be required to fulfill job duties.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must hold and maintain a current Temple Recommend and exemplify church teachings on marriage and family life.
• Strong personal faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and dedication to the spiritual growth of youth and young single adults.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in education, with at least five years of classroom teaching experience and management roles in educational settings.
• Solid understanding of teaching, learning, and training principles.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with church leaders, parents, and students.
• Proficient in interpersonal skills including verbal communication, active listening, nonverbal cues, openness, negotiation, decision making, conflict resolution, and mediation.
• Awareness and capability to support students with disabilities, encompassing physical, learning, behavioral, emotional, or mental health challenges.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to handle information, reports, meetings, and resources.
• Competence in analyzing data to identify issues and develop solutions.
• Skillful in managing employee performance and fostering professional growth.
• Advanced abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, especially for managing programs and reporting.
• Capability to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be ready for travel.
