About the Role
Komodo Wellbeing is seeking two proactive Sales Development Representatives to join our team in Christchurch, New Zealand. This opportunity offers you a chance to contribute to advancing wellbeing in schools globally by generating new engagement opportunities through purposeful outreach and pipeline development. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the initial stages of the sales funnel by researching prospects, initiating contact, and qualifying leads.
- Design and execute outbound campaigns utilizing email, telephone calls, and professional networking platforms.
- Compile and maintain targeted account lists and contact databases for systematic outreach.
- Conduct discovery and qualification calls with clarity and inquisitiveness to advance potential clients effectively.
- Schedule and coordinate demonstration meetings with qualified school leaders, ensuring smooth transition to Account Executives.
- Track and document sales activities, progress, and engagement details using CRM tools like HubSpot and Gong.
- Continuously enhance skills through training, self-reflection, and coaching sessions, leveraging technology such as AI to optimize workflows.
Requirements
- Between zero and two years of experience in sales development, business development, or outbound sales roles.
- A strong drive to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset paired with curiosity.
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for learning and professional growth within and beyond the role.
- Committed to improving wellbeing in educational institutions worldwide.
- Proactive in leveraging AI tools to enhance daily tasks and willing to experiment with new approaches.
- Located in Christchurch and willing to accommodate flexible working hours, including later start times and international sales calls.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement platforms like HubSpot and Gong is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a base salary of NZD 50,000 annually with an uncapped commission structure rewarding qualified leads converted to platform demonstrations. Additional employee benefits include access to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), allowances for wellbeing and professional development, and employee assistance programs.
Additional Information
This role requires flexibility in working hours to connect effectively with international school clients, with official working hours starting between 11 am and 12 pm.
