Role Overview

The Security Professional position is a full-time, on-site role based in Harare, tasked with protecting personnel, assets, and information. Responsibilities include monitoring the premises, managing access points, conducting regular security patrols, and responding promptly and calmly to any incidents or alarms. The role also requires evaluating security risks, documenting incidents accurately, assisting with basic cybersecurity and information protection protocols, and liaising with internal teams as well as external partners as necessary. Effective communication with staff and visitors, strict adherence to policies and procedures, and proactive support in enhancing security measures are essential components of the job.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong capabilities in Physical Security, including managing access control, surveillance systems, and handling incident responses.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security practices, encompassing data protection awareness and implementation of fundamental security protocols.
• Understanding of Network Security concepts such as identifying network vulnerabilities, applying secure configurations, and monitoring potential threats.
• Effective communication skills to provide clear reports, engage professionally with stakeholders, and collaborate within teams.
• Having certifications related to security, law enforcement, or IT security (e.g., security guard license, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Previous experience in security, risk management, or related sectors is preferred.
• The ability to remain composed under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and maintain strict confidentiality.
• High ethical standards, reliability, and integrity are crucial.
