Role Overview
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be pivotal in delivering impactful engineering solutions and enhancing team capabilities by shaping best practices. This hands-on leadership position emphasizes precision, innovation, and direct contributions to pioneering clean energy advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mechanical engineering projects from initial concept to manufacturing delivery.
- Conduct engineering analyses ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and production drawings using SolidWorks.
- Lead technical problem-solving and troubleshooting for complex engineering issues.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development within the team.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Promote continuous improvements in engineering methodologies and workflows.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Over 8 years of relevant engineering experience, including hands-on involvement in manufacturing settings.
- Expertise in CAD software, especially SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to devise and implement effective technical solutions for complex challenges.
- Excellent communication skills facilitating collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in process industries such as oil & gas, dairy, or energy sectors.
- Familiarity with pressure system design or cryogenic applications.
- Knowledge of international engineering standards, including ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, and AS1210.
- Progress towards or possession of Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.
- Background in multidisciplinary project environments.
