Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to strengthen our IT Infrastructure team. This individual will spearhead the design, deployment, administration, and optimization of Microsoft infrastructure technologies, specializing in Microsoft Exchange (both On-Premises and Exchange Online), Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and associated key enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, manage, and support Microsoft Exchange Server environments (On-Premises and Exchange Online).
• Administer hybrid Exchange infrastructures and oversee Microsoft 365 tenant management.
• Operate and sustain Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and general Windows Server services.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity sync and authentication workflows.
• Implement security measures such as Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Exchange Online Protection.
• Monitor performance, accessibility, and security of messaging infrastructure.
• Plan and conduct migrations of Exchange and Microsoft 365 platforms along with infrastructure updates.
• Configure and maintain email security protocols, spam filters, mail routing, and compliance standards.
• Carry out backup operations, disaster recovery initiatives, and business continuity for messaging systems.
• Resolve complex Microsoft infrastructure issues and provide advanced technical support (third-level escalation).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and other infrastructure divisions on enterprise-level projects.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, operational manuals, and system design documents.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with IT governance policies, security mandates, and Microsoft best practices.
• Assess emerging Microsoft technologies and suggest enhancements to improve infrastructure robustness and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Have between 7 to 10 years of professional experience managing Microsoft infrastructure and enterprise messaging environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Defender, and Exchange Online Protection.
• Experience with hybrid Exchange configurations and Microsoft 365 migration projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft security frameworks, identity management, and regulatory compliance solutions.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Understanding of backup strategies and disaster recovery practices.
• Good grasp of DNS, SMTP protocols, certification management, networking concepts, and mail flow troubleshooting.
• Advantageous to have experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Strong analytical abilities, troubleshooting acumen, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Microsoft Certified: Exchange Server (legacy certifications acceptable)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
• ITIL Foundation certification favored
