Role Overview

We are recruiting a full-time Stock Controller based in Accra who will be responsible for managing stock quantities and ensuring inventory accuracy. Key duties involve supervising stock receipts and dispatches, maintaining updated inventory records, conducting frequent stock audits, and resolving discrepancies. Coordination with procurement, warehouse, and finance departments is essential to sustain optimal stock levels, preventing shortages or surpluses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming and outgoing inventory and maintain an accurate stock record system.
• Perform periodic stock counts and reconcile any differences found.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and accounts teams to manage stock efficiently.
• Produce inventory reports and analyze stock data to detect patterns or issues affecting turnover and storage.
• Propose improvements for stock management and storage optimization.
• Adhere strictly to internal control policies and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in inventory-related audits as required.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess proficient skills in stock control, stock management, and inventory oversight.
• Demonstrate strong analytical abilities for interpreting data, analyzing variances, and supporting decision-making.
• Exhibit effective communication skills to facilitate teamwork and external collaboration.
• Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems, along with good Microsoft Excel capabilities.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of maintaining accuracy under time pressures.
• Hold a relevant qualification in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related fields.
• Previous experience in stock or inventory roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
