Role Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP) for Global Construction will lead the strategic direction and execution of hyperscale data center construction projects across Yondr's international portfolio. This crucial leadership position ensures that all construction initiatives uphold the highest standards in safety, quality, timelines, predictability, and cost efficiency. The SVP will manage global construction teams, engage with internal departments and external partners, and oversee multiple concurrent projects involving several clients.

Main Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the Global Leadership team for Data Center Execution.
• Hold accountability for global pre-operations safety across Yondr’s construction activities.
• Lead the entire construction delivery cycle from inception through operational commissioning for multiple concurrent data center projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee pre-construction activities including site due diligence, acquisition, and permitting worldwide.
• Manage global utility projects from connection agreements through to site energization.
• Direct the global commissioning programs to ensure compliance with stakeholder and customer requirements.
• Assist in pipeline development aligned with Yondr’s five-year business plan.
• Collaborate closely with teams across Design, Procurement, Cost, and Commercial departments within the broader execution framework.
• Contribute to technical innovation by developing new business strategies and enhancing Yondr’s data center blueprints.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven extensive experience constructing large-scale data centers.
• Strong background in leading and developing global execution teams within the construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the data center construction supply chain, design and build projects, and familiarity with global construction industry contracts.
• Effective leadership capabilities managing diverse, cross-cultural teams and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success coordinating large, complex capital projects involving multiple teams and functions.
• Sound understanding of cost management and commercial considerations impacting technical decisions on schedule and budget.
• Experience in risk management and excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to challenge standard practices and implement innovative construction solutions.
• Proficient in using construction management software and related programs.
