Ubuntu User - Remote Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ubuntu User to participate in AI data training projects on a remote, hourly-paid contract basis. The role involves installing applications and documenting your processes carefully while executing tasks that demand patience and concentration. Candidates must own a computer running Ubuntu/Linux and be comfortable with installing the necessary tools. Prior advanced AI expertise is unnecessary; however, being technically adept, reliable, attentive to instructions, and able to work independently is essential. This position is well-suited for students, juniors, or tech-savvy individuals who thrive in structured, repetitive environments.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a personal computer with Ubuntu/Linux installed
• Comfortable installing required applications and project-specific software
• Capable of independently following setup instructions
• Available to dedicate around 15 hours each week
• Patient, focused, and meticulous in handling tasks
• Ability to carefully and consistently adhere to written instructions
• Comfortable with structured and occasionally repetitive work
• Basic computer literacy with confidence using browser-based tools
• Dependable, communicative, and punctual in meeting deadlines
• Open to student and junior applicants
• Experience with AI data training, annotation, QA, software testing, or research is advantageous but not required

Key Responsibilities

• Strictly follow detailed written procedures
• Install and use applications on Ubuntu/Linux systems as needed
• Review work thoroughly to avoid errors before submission
• Detect ambiguous instructions, inconsistencies, or technical issues and report them
• Maintain concentration during repetitive or detailed tasks
• Complete assigned tasks within the agreed weekly availability
• Communicate effectively with the project team when guidance or assistance is required
• Help enhance the quality of AI model training data through diligent work
