Role Overview
We are hiring a skilled Upwork Bidder for a web design and web development agency. The main goal of this position is to find suitable projects, craft compelling and customized proposals, judge opportunities accurately, and help the agency secure consistent calls and business deals.
This is a strategic bidding role rather than a high-volume copy-paste position. You will need to evaluate lead quality, understand project scope, and present the agency’s services in a way that resonates with each client.
Candidates who already understand web design and web development will be preferred, since the work involves judging project fit, estimating scope, and writing stronger proposals based on context.
Lead Discovery and Qualification
- Find relevant opportunities on Upwork in areas such as web design, web development, Shopify, UI/UX, CRO, and related digital services.
- Screen out jobs that appear low quality, unrealistic, poorly defined, or unlikely to convert.
- Focus on projects with a strong match, clear requirements, sensible budgets, and real potential for conversion.
- Decide whether a job is worth using connects on before submitting a proposal.
Proposal Writing and Submission
- Develop customized proposals that align with each client’s needs and the details of the post.
- Avoid generic language and adjust your message to the client’s business, goals, and technical situation.
- Present the agency in a persuasive and professional manner.
- Submit proposals efficiently while keeping the quality of the response high.
- Emphasize the business impact of the service, not only the list of features.
Opportunity Assessment
- Analyze each post for service fit, budget quality, client seriousness, scope clarity, and long-term value.
- Identify and reject weak-fit jobs before proposals are sent.
