Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated full-time Production Coordinator to join our team onsite in Monterey Park, CA. This position involves managing the complete production process, liaising with suppliers and manufacturers, maintaining production timelines, and ensuring top-tier quality control throughout the product lifecycle. The role also includes monitoring approval schedules, managing costing negotiations, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to support seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production cycle—from seasonal buy assessments to final bulk deliveries.
• Review seasonal purchasing and authorize purchase orders with international vendors.
• Maintain daily communication with factories to monitor the Time & Action calendar.
• Authorize lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk trim submissions.
• Negotiate development and production costs with overseas manufacturers.
• Work closely with internal design, technical design, and sales teams to ensure workflow efficiency and proactively resolve delays.
• Identify and resolve any production or delivery problems with factories.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of production documentation, purchase orders, and ERP system updates.
• Track fit approvals, sample statuses, and key production milestones.
• Coordinate shipment schedules alongside logistics and shipping teams.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while enforcing accountability regarding deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of experience in apparel production with a requirement for import experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the garment production lifecycle, from development through delivery.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Apparel Magic, Aims360, or comparable platforms.
• Familiarity with PLM systems like Centric, Blue Cherry, or similar software.
• Solid knowledge of fabric properties and garment fit.
• Demonstrated capability to independently lead teams and effectively solve problems.
• Experience liaising with overseas vendors and factories.
• Strong negotiation skills pertaining to costing and production timelines.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication abilities facilitating collaboration across multiple teams.
• Aptitude for performing in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Production, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
