Assistant Store Manager

Overview

The Assistant Store Manager at Spencer's plays a pivotal role in delivering excellent Guest Service and supporting the Store Manager to ensure smooth store operations. This role focuses on maximizing sales and profitability through effective team development, expense control, shrinkage prevention, and meticulous management of merchandising and inventory. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for more than 8 hours, walking, ladder climbing, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $14.75 to $15.00, determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience. Responsibilities

• Deliver and uphold excellent Guest Services standards.
• Assist the Store Manager with all aspects of store operations to drive maximum sales and profitability.
• Develop and lead store personnel effectively.
• Manage expenses and reduce shrinkage in the store.
• Oversee merchandising activities and ensure accurate inventory control.
• Implement and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in retail and/or management roles is essential.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, walk extensively, climb ladders, and lift items up to 50 pounds.
