Job Overview

The role of AutoCAD Designer involves creating, updating, and managing precise technical drawings and layouts to facilitate engineering, production, and project implementation. This position demands adherence to design standards, quality assurance, and timely delivery to support various project stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D AutoCAD drawings such as layouts, sections, elevations, fabrication, and detailed component diagrams.
• Revise and update drawings considering design amendments, feedback from site teams, and client specifications.
• Ensure all drawings meet technical standards, industry norms, and internal protocols.
• Manage drawing version control and maintain organized documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, project management, production, and onsite teams to gather requirements and meet deadlines.
• Integrate inputs from project managers, architects, structural engineers, and clients into the drawings.
• Support project progression by delivering accurate and timely drawings.
• Organize a systematic digital repository of drawings with backups.
• Prepare bills of quantities and material layouts when needed.
• Assist in generating technical documentation and reports related to drawings.
• Verify that drawings are error-free and ready for execution.
• Adhere to company quality standards and approval procedures.
• Resolve any drawing-related queries arising during project execution.
• Support senior designers and engineers as required.
• Propose enhancements in drafting templates, standards, and workflows.
• Stay up to date with AutoCAD features and drafting best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• AutoCAD certification preferred.
• Mandatory proficiency in 2D AutoCAD drafting.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, construction, or fabrication drawings is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Capability to work efficiently under deadlines.
• Openness to learning and adapting.

Compensation

Monthly salary range: INR 16,000 to INR 18,000.
