AutoCAD Draughtsman

Job Overview

We are seeking an AutoCAD Draughtsman specialized in the theatre industry to prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for stage sets, scenic elements, platforms, and theatre-related installations. This role involves producing accurate fabrication and assembly drawings, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for various theatre components including stage sets and scenery.
• Develop fabrication, shop, and assembly drawings complete with precise dimensions and material details.
• Collaborate closely with scenic designers, production managers, carpenters, metal fabricators, and vendors to align designs with production needs.
• Update and revise drawings to reflect changes in design or production requirements.
• Perform site measurements and generate accurate as-built drawings when necessary.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to established safety regulations and theatre production specifications.
• Maintain comprehensive records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation for accuracy and traceability.
• Offer support during installation processes and resolve technical challenges encountered throughout fabrication and setup phases.

Compensation

The maximum salary offered for this position is INR 25,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
