Role Overview
This permanent full-time position is based at Tuatara Brewery in Upper Hutt. Reporting to the Head Brewer, you will collaborate with the craft brewing team to produce high-quality craft beers. Key duties involve operating brewing machinery, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the brewing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate brewing equipment to produce beverages in accordance with the entire brewing process.
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the plant and machinery to uphold high standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot process losses through problem-solving and continuous improvement methods.
- Adhere to and promote stringent health and safety practices within the brewery environment.
- Conduct laboratory testing on products as required to ensure quality.
Candidate Profile
- Genuine enthusiasm for beer, particularly craft beer varieties.
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in Science, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience within FMCG process manufacturing.
- Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Willingness to pursue the IBD Brewing Diploma to further develop professional expertise.
