Role Overview
As part of the New Business team, you will play a vital role in expanding Plaid's reach into the fintech market by connecting with digital-native fintech firms, neobanks, alternative lenders, and personal finance app developers. This position involves prospecting, mapping organizational structures, engaging prospects, qualifying leads, and supporting Account Executives to create new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Executives as a key contributor to the go-to-market efforts within the dynamic fintech landscape.
- Work closely with Marketing to offer insights on fintech-focused campaigns and help develop innovative outbound strategies.
- Generate and build a strong prospect pipeline targeting fintech founders, technology chiefs, and product leaders.
- Assist new clients during onboarding and respond to technical queries regarding Plaid's API integrations.
- Stay informed about emerging fintech trends and new business models such as embedded finance, Web3, and alternative underwriting to identify revenue opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 1 to 3 years of experience in sales or pipeline development, preferably within SaaS, fintech, or developer-centric tech companies.
- Experience engaging in high-level discussions with tech-savvy founders, product managers, and engineering teams.
- Capability to passionately communicate Plaid’s value and gauge interest from fast-moving digital innovators.
- Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced, high customer volume, and time-sensitive sales environment.
- Demonstrated resilience and persistence when entering and developing competitive markets.
- Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce.com.
- Ability to translate complex technical products and demonstrate a keen interest in fintech trends, startup ecosystems, and API technologies.
- Motivation to excel in a growing company and help build agile workflows and tools.
- Desire to deepen technical knowledge and master Plaid’s developer ecosystem including Auth, Balance, Identity, Income, and Signal APIs.

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $91,995 to $106,971, with potential additional equity and/or commission. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Salary and benefits vary based on role responsibilities, candidate qualifications, and location and are subject to change as per company policies.
