MoveSmart Rentals seeks a dependable and detail-focused Cleaner to manage cleaning duties at residential rental properties. The position involves services including initial and final cleans for move-ins and move-outs, turnover cleanings, and preparing properties to be ready for listing.

The company distributes rental listings across multiple platforms including the MLS and oversees all responsibilities from property listing through to tenant move-in.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled cleaning appointments at residential rental locations to execute move-in, move-out, rental turnover, and listing preparation cleaning tasks.
• Perform general cleaning consistent with company standards including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures.
• Eliminate dust, dirt, debris, garbage, and any leftover items as required.
• Wipe and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and more.
• Maintain floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and thorough cleaning.
• Clean interior components of appliances including fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer, and dryer as necessary.
• Identify any areas needing extra cleaning, repairs, sanitation, junk removal, or follow-up.
• Document work through clear before-and-after photographs and videos.
• Provide prompt and detailed updates, including notes, photos, and videos, after each cleaning visit.
• Communicate professionally with landlords, applicants, tenants (as applicable), and colleagues.
• Adhere strictly to company instructions, cleaning checklists, access guidelines, and appointment specifics.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or residential cleaner.
• Comprehensive knowledge of residential cleaning best practices and standards.
• Access to reliable transportation to travel between properties.
• Own necessary cleaning supplies and equipment to complete appointments successfully.
• Comfortable working independently on-site at rental properties.
• Possess a smartphone equivalent to an iPhone 13 with a high-quality camera for documenting work.
• Ability to take clear photographs and videos, write accurate notes, and submit detailed reports after each appointment.
• Self-motivated with excellent punctuality, professionalism, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Capability to follow checklists, instructions, and property access protocols.
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders including landlords and tenants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning.
• Familiarity with cleaning properties specifically for listing readiness, photos, inspections, or showings.
• Ability to identify property damage, maintenance issues, pest problems, junk removal needs, access complications, or safety hazards.
• Previous experience operating independently in field roles within property management, leasing, cleaning, or related home services.

This position’s primary focus is on cleaning duties and preparing properties for listing readiness.
