Role Overview
The Director of Services at Jasper will lead the strategy, operating model, and growth of the Services organization as the company transitions from a product-led to a services-led model. This leadership role oversees three key service areas: implementation, enablement, and advisory. The Director is responsible for elevating service delivery to be consultative and outcome-focused, expanding customer training programs based on solid learning methodologies, and developing the advisory practice to assist customers with AI adoption and growth. Additionally, the position manages the commercial and operational framework to quantify delivery timelines, engagement margins, and service effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and drive the vision, strategy, and operating model for the Services organization across implementation, enablement, and advisory pillars aligned with the services-led business approach.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, acting as a hands-on player-coach involved in both strategic and operational tasks.
- Enhance implementation by transitioning it into consultative onboarding focused on accelerating customer value realization.
- Develop enablement offerings into customized, well-structured customer training programs based on formal learning principles with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Expand and evolve the advisory services to guide customers through AI adoption and increase its influence over time.
- Shape the commercial aspect of Services, including evaluating offerings, pricing, packaging, and promoting internal awareness among Sales, Customer Success, and leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and actively participate in customer-facing engagements including presales and deal discussions to build trust and confidence.
- Manage the operational infrastructure for Service delivery involving resource planning and professional service automation, including oversight of the infrastructure for the Forward-Deployed Engineering team to track delivery effort and engagement profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in professional services, customer success, implementation, or solution delivery within SaaS, AI, or enterprise software companies, including managing both managers and senior individual contributors.
- Proficient in AI concepts such as large language models, AI agents, copilots, tokens, credits, context windows, retrieval-augmented generation, and data governance, with practical application in customer service contexts.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset to assess and commercialize service offerings effectively.
- Leadership style that combines hands-on involvement with team development and strategic direction.
- Exceptional customer-facing skills with an ability to influence cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Customer Success.
- Experience managing organizational restructures or reorganization efforts with empathetic leadership to realign and motivate teams.
- Adaptability and communication skills allowing flexible engagement in diverse settings such as customer pitches, executive conversations, and detailed team collaboration.
- Preferred experience in formal learning methodologies or curriculum design aimed at customer enablement.
- Beneficial prior exposure to establishing or scaling professional services automation and capacity planning infrastructures.
- Desirable background in AI transformation services, particularly within EdTech or B2B SaaS sectors.
Compensation
The base salary for this role ranges from $184,000 to $230,000 annually, subject to variation based on experience, skills, and certifications.
