Driver Manager

Job Overview

As the North Island Driver Manager based in Penrose, Auckland, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient last-mile delivery operations of BeFresh New Zealand throughout the North Island. Reporting to the Associate Director Fulfilment, you will lead the onboarding, rostering, compliance, and supervision of drivers and delivery partners to ensure service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding process, training programs, and portal system for drivers and contractors.
• Plan and allocate driver schedules weekly and monitor daily delivery operations.
• Ensure all drivers maintain proper licensing, certifications, and adhere to delivery and transportation regulations.
• Supervise vehicle upkeep and compliance across the delivery fleet.
• Handle driver-related incidents utilizing internal tools and systems.
• Oversee customer care communications related to driver relations.
• Manage error resolution, operational communications, and maintenance of hardware and equipment.
• Conduct regional visits to local depots and subcontractor drivers across the North Island.

Candidate Profile

• Background in relationship management is preferred.
• Experience managing driver operations, logistics, or last-mile delivery processes.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand transportation legislation and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to manage onboarding systems and handle operational incidents.
• Possess a valid driving license with a clean driving history.
