Role Overview
Akasa Air is hiring an Executive for HR Operations in Mumbai. The role focuses on managing the onboarding journey for new employees, ensuring a smooth start, accurate documentation, and full compliance with internal processes and applicable legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize the end-to-end logistics for onboarding new hires, including calendar coordination and preparation of onboarding material.
- Lead induction sessions that help new employees understand the organization’s culture, values, policies, and operating procedures.
- Plan and manage onboarding tasks, offering support and direction to new joiners throughout the process.
- Make sure all joining paperwork is completed correctly and that administrative as well as legal compliance requirements are met.
- Help new employees complete required documentation such as employee forms, benefits enrollment, and IT-related setup steps.
Candidate Profile
- The ideal applicant has at least 2 years of experience in onboarding and recruitment, with a strong record of improving onboarding outcomes and retention.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and exposure to applicant tracking systems is important.
- A working understanding of HR analytics is needed to support informed decisions and workforce planning.
- Strong command of MS Office tools is expected.
- Knowledge of Indian labour laws and rules related to onboarding and employee records is required.
- Familiarity with onboarding best practices, HR policies, procedures, and employment law in the Indian context is essential.
- Excellent organizational ability is needed to manage onboarding workflows efficiently.
- Strong communication and people skills are necessary to create a positive experience for new employees.
- Attention to detail and the ability to coordinate several onboarding cases at once are important.
- Flexibility and adaptability are valued to accommodate employees with varied backgrounds and needs.
- The role requires comfort working with remote team members and prior experience in corporate onboarding.
