Financial Analyst

About the Role

Join WSP in the Middle East as a Financial Analyst based in Dubai or Sharjah. This position requires close collaboration with the Financial Consolidation Manager and the broader finance team across the Middle East region. The analyst will handle business performance reviews, consolidate budgets and forecasts, conduct variance analyses, and assist central and commercial finance teams in key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver analytical and consolidation support covering monthly management reports analyzing performance by business unit, country, and entity level.
• Identify and evaluate principal drivers of financial performance, assessing risks and opportunities.
• Analyze major projects and consolidated KPI metrics, preparing management reports including monthly and quarterly business packs.
• Implement tools and strategies to convert raw financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Support budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities.
• Assist in balance sheet reviews ensuring internal controls, governance, and audit compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certified CFA, CPA, or CA with 3 to 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within professional services, consulting, or engineering sectors.
• Proficient communication and report-writing capabilities.
• Strong grasp of general financial analysis principles.
• Advanced technical skills with experience in Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and consolidation tools such as Hyperion.
• Detail-focused with excellent analytical abilities.
• Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
