Frontend Engineer

Overview

This role is offered through a partner organization that oversees all application procedures and subsequent steps. The partner is seeking a Frontend Engineer located in Germany to join their team.

Role Summary

The Frontend Engineer will play a key role in developing modern, high-quality web applications aimed at providing excellent user experiences for an international audience. Collaborating within a product engineering team, the candidate will help create new features, enhance existing ones, and contribute to the design of scalable frontend architecture utilizing current JavaScript technologies. The position involves comprehensive ownership of the development process, from interpreting product needs to delivering dependable, thoroughly tested software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement frontend features with modern technologies including TypeScript and leading JavaScript frameworks.
• Manage full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to deployment and support.
• Divide development tasks into smaller, manageable components to enable efficient incremental delivery.
• Create and uphold unit and integration tests to ensure code is reliable and maintainable over time.
• Enhance application performance, security measures, accessibility, and overall user experience quality.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and leadership teams to evolve product capabilities.
• Engage in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and promoting best engineering practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation, foster knowledge exchange among peers, and aid collaborative problem resolution.
• Assist in resolving project challenges, participate in discussions, mentor teammates occasionally, and continue personal technical growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum four years' experience as a Frontend Engineer or comparable software development position.
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and at least one modern frontend framework such as Vue.js or React.
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, browser APIs, frontend optimization, web security standards, and accessibility guidelines.
• Experience with contemporary development workflows including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Proficient in writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested software with a focus on quality.
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Team-oriented attitude with eagerness to learn and share knowledge.
• Knowledge of AI-enhanced development tools and capable of utilizing them responsibly to boost productivity and software quality.
