Installation Engineer (Electrical)

Role overview

Burjline Builders is looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to manage the execution of electrical infrastructure works, including installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance support. The position calls for someone who can make sure site activities follow the approved scope, technical drawings, relevant standards, safety rules, and quality control procedures.

This role combines hands-on technical work with coordination duties, including site oversight, contractor follow-up, testing support, issue resolution, and communication with project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee electrical installation work directly at project locations and track daily progress.
• Confirm that all electrical activities match approved drawings, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate the installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover process.
• Check contractor output and ensure it meets the required technical and quality standards.
• Examine engineering drawings, technical submissions, and material approval documents.
• Carry out site inspections and validate the quality of completed installations.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and other project teams to solve technical challenges.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of LV, MV, and connected electrical systems.
• Draft technical reports, progress summaries, inspection logs, and other project records.
• Spot project risks and suggest practical mitigation actions.
• Ensure work complies with local codes, international standards, and company quality systems.
• Attend project meetings and share technical input and recommendations.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

Experience

Candidates should have 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, construction, testing, commissioning, or utility infrastructure projects. Experience in large infrastructure, utility, industrial, energy, or electrical distribution environments is preferred, along with a solid background in site supervision and project execution.

Technical skills

The role requires a strong command of LV and MV electrical systems, electrical distribution networks, testing and commissioning practices, protection systems, electrical safety procedures, power distribution infrastructure, and the reading of electrical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with international electrical standards, Microsoft Office, and engineering or project management software is advantageous.
