Job Description

We are seeking a Janitor responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning and upkeep duties inside assigned buildings or at multiple client locations. Duties may vary and require flexibility to meet specific client requirements.

Work Schedule & Pay

This is a full-time position working Monday through Sunday from 6 AM to 11 AM with a pay rate of $12 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Utilize chemical cleaners and power equipment carefully to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and building entrances.
• Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste, including use of compactors when needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning agents and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks.
• Restock paper and sanitary supplies regularly.
• Adhere to established housekeeping schedules to ensure consistent cleanliness.
• Operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on scope or client needs.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months’ experience in janitorial work.
• Willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and custodial practices.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
