Role Overview

As a Junior Backend Developer at OpusDNS, you will contribute to developing and optimizing backend systems that manage domain registrations, DNS services, and related functionalities. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining APIs, including integration with external registries using protocols like EPP. You will play a vital part in ensuring system scalability, reliability, and security, working closely with the front-end team to provide a seamless and user-friendly experience. Participation in architectural decisions and continuous codebase improvement will also be part of your responsibilities. You will analyze technical challenges and deliver robust solutions to maintain high system availability.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline. You should have initial experience in backend development, preferably in a domain registrar or infrastructure-related setting. Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, Java, PHP, or Elixir is required. Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka and experience with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL is essential. You should be well-versed in development tools and practices like Git, CI/CD, and test-driven development. Basic understanding of network and web protocols such as DNS, HTTP, and SSL/TLS is advantageous. A methodical and dependable approach paired with strong analytical and collaborative skills is expected.
