Junior Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in designing electrical building service systems across diverse sectors.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and BIM models utilizing AutoCAD and Revit tools.
• Perform engineering calculations such as load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop analyses, and lighting calculations.
• Contribute to designing power distribution networks, lighting, fire alarm, security, data infrastructure, renewable energy solutions, and electric vehicle charging systems.
• Coordinate effectively with mechanical engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, support inspections, and assist in resolving technical challenges.
• Help prepare technical specifications, reports, and tender documents.
• Gain knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and sustainable design principles while delivering quality projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or closely related field.
• Relevant graduate experience from internships, placements, or previous roles in electrical design or building services.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and building services design.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proactive mindset with a keen eagerness to grow professionally.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with design and simulation software such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech, Trimble ProDesign, ETAP, or similar tools.
• Experience working within BIM workflows and using Revit MEP.
