Junior Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a partner associated with Haystack for a Junior Operations Specialist position based in Brandenburg, Germany. The role involves upholding top-tier safety standards and fostering a superior safety culture in all operational processes. You will lead efforts to enhance infrastructure through the standardization of procedures and policies. Close collaboration with various stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure operational effectiveness is crucial. You will also oversee the preventive maintenance of vital site infrastructure and manage facility supervision using building management and power monitoring systems. Quick and appropriate response to any events potentially impacting customers, especially those concerning electrical or mechanical infrastructure, is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain exemplary safety practices and develop a top-notch safety culture within operations.
• Pursue continuous enhancements in infrastructure by standardizing operational procedures and policies.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance for essential site infrastructure.
• Supervise facilities using building management and power monitoring tools.
• Address incidents impacting customers related to electrical or mechanical systems promptly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical concepts and competencies.
• Experience in data center engineering would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems such as HVAC and control mechanisms is beneficial.
• Proficiency in German at B2 level is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work around the clock, including tasks at height, physical labor, and within noisy environments.
