Role Purpose

This role focuses on generating insightful analytics related to execution for a broad spectrum of internal partners including portfolio managers, traders, senior leadership, and sales teams. The role also encompasses research into algorithmic and signal development aimed at enhancing trading dynamics and optimizing the realized profit and loss of investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the Execution Analytics platform to produce actionable insights that aid portfolio managers and traders in minimizing market impact, enhancing capacity, and refining trading tactics.
• Conduct research and develop prototype tools to uplift the capabilities of the Execution Analytics platform and the Quant Toolkit.
• Model trading costs, market impact, and fill rates for various asset classes using advanced statistics and machine learning approaches.
• Analyze extensive datasets to build mathematical frameworks describing microstructure patterns, order book behavior, and intraday predictive signals.
• Streamline and scale analytic processes related to experimentation, algorithmic performance measurement, and execution monitoring.
• Collaborate with technology teams to deploy and maintain reliable, stable, and precise analytics on the Execution Analytics platform.
• Serve as an expert on execution data, providing support to colleagues, sales teams, and senior stakeholders across the firm.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a PhD or an outstanding Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Between 6 to 12 months of professional experience after graduation, ideally within buy-side or sell-side institutions.
• Demonstrated creative thinking with the ability to produce and implement original research and concepts.
• Strong analytical capabilities, able to manage projects from start to finish.
• Solid grounding in statistics with practical application to real-world challenges.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant data science and machine learning libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and TensorFlow.
• Experience handling large-scale datasets and tick-level data.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and software.
• Understanding of financial products and market microstructure concepts.
