Role Purpose

The Kitchen Attendant is essential for ensuring the kitchen remains spotless and fully compliant with hygiene protocols. Responsibilities include cleaning all dishware, utensils, and kitchen surfaces, supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation, and maintaining a sanitary environment to help provide guests with excellent dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers as well as manual cleaning methods.
• Manage rubbish disposal, and perform sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Disinfect kitchen areas following the correct chemical sequence and hygiene procedures.
• Assist the kitchen team by undertaking simple food prep tasks like peeling, grating, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.

Experience and Skills

• Previous experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is advantageous.
• A proactive, positive attitude and motivation are essential.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse team in a fast-moving environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
