Lifeguard - The Jeddah EDITION

Position Overview

As a Lifeguard at The Jeddah EDITION, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers through vigilant supervision, prompt rescue actions, and encouraging adherence to facility rules. You will maintain a secure and welcoming environment by detecting hazardous conditions and responding appropriately to emergencies.

Key Duties

• Monitor swimming areas using recognized rescue methods when assistance is needed.
• Identify potential safety risks, unsafe behaviors, and swimmers in distress.
• Advocate compliance with the recreation facility's regulations.
• Alert supervisors about guests unable to safely engage in activities.
• Provide initial care to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Contribute to a pleasant atmosphere for visitors.
• Handle towels by collecting, folding, and stacking following company protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck via washing and mopping.
• Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and injuries to management promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and hold necessary certifications.
• Protect company assets by adhering to policies and keeping sensitive information confidential.
• Ensure professional greetings, appearances, and guest interactions adhering to company standards.
• Assist guests with disabilities sensitively and respectfully.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Support coworkers and maintain respectful workplace conduct.
• Comply with quality assurance and operational standards.
• Inspect tools and equipment visually to identify defects.
• Perform physical tasks including walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds independently, heavier with help), climbing stairs or ramps, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No previous work or supervisory experience required.
• Required certifications: CPR and First Aid.
• Additional certifications or training mandated by local or state agencies for lifeguards.
