Role Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Adjuster to join our team supporting a national retail client. This is primarily a remote opportunity, with options for hybrid or in-office work depending on your location.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather and analyze claim details to form evaluations.
- Maintain precise records, provide clear reporting, and present case files appropriately.
- Assess policy coverage, establish liability, and determine claim values.
- Manage accurate billing and track time and expenses diligently.
- Engage in negotiation and settlement of claims, finalizing them within delegated authority.
- Direct and coordinate with field adjusters, experts, and legal counsel as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience handling technical claims, particularly commercial casualty claims.
- Familiarity with Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims is advantageous.
- Proven ability in evaluating and quantifying bodily injury claims.
- Experience managing complex, multiline claims and legal proceedings related to litigation.
- Possession or pursuit of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is mandatory.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain an Independent Adjuster License in your home province and be open to obtaining licenses in other provinces.
- Post-secondary education in insurance or related fields is considered a plus.
- Strong teamwork orientation and excellent customer service skills.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Proficient computer skills, especially with software applications.
- Completion of continuing education as required by the company, provincial regulations, or professional bodies.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 annually.
