Position Overview
Starting October 2026, Saxenhammer is inviting motivated students to join our Berlin team for a minimum period of 3 to 6 months to gain hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within an internationally active boutique investment bank with a robust deal flow.

Having completed over 450 transactions across various industries, Saxenhammer has developed extensive sector expertise, collaborating closely with colleagues located in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and Switzerland to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
In Special Situations M&A, we assist corporations, companies, and business owners in complex scenarios such as carve-outs, spin-offs, reorganizations, and restructuring processes. We combine over two decades of investment banking expertise with legal proficiency to secure optimal outcomes for our clients. Our team embodies entrepreneurial spirit, maintains close relationships with numerous investors, and follows a strong 'Clients First' philosophy. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of pitch presentations, teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations
- Engaging actively in communication with clients and investors, closely working alongside senior team members to manage processes
- Creating integrated financial models, conducting financial analyses, and performing company valuations
- Assisting in compiling industry, company, and competitor analyses
- Supporting various due diligence activities
Candidate Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in economics or a related field with a focus on corporate finance, demonstrating above-average academic performance
- Prior experience in M&A advisory, corporate finance, or private equity is advantageous
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong consulting and communication abilities, and confident demeanor
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills coupled with genuine team spirit
- Resilience and flexibility necessary to work under tight deadlines and demanding client requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written
