About the role
Interwell Health is a kidney care management organization that works alongside physicians to transform healthcare. The team aims to combine scale, expertise, compassion, and a forward-looking approach to raise the standard of care and support patients in living healthier lives.
In this position, you will be the initial contact for patients and providers seeking help. The work centers on managing incoming calls, answering routine questions, resolving issues, and directing callers to the right subject matter experts when a more detailed response or action is needed. You will use internal systems and your understanding of the company’s services to drive first-contact resolution across a range of interaction complexity.
There are two current openings for this role. Both positions require availability Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM Central Time.
Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of inbound calls while meeting service-level expectations.
- Review and route clinical referrals, consent documents, and general questions received through the Member Support inbox and/or SharePoint.
- Deliver efficient, end-to-end support so callers receive timely and effective help.
- Communicate with professionalism, empathy, compassion, and active listening to understand needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support smooth care coordination and better member outcomes.
- Contribute positively as part of the team and help drive shared goals.
- Assist with additional projects as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service or administrative support; experience in healthcare or an inbound contact center is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to solve problems effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Good multitasking and time management skills to respond promptly.
- Adaptable, resilient, and able to stay solution-focused in a changing workplace.
- Flexible enough to adjust to evolving business needs and priorities.
- Open to feedback and able to turn it into practical improvements.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and shifting organizational goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
