About the Role
Google is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join the team behind Google Pay, designed to innovate payment experiences for over 250 million users, primarily servicing the Indian market from the Singapore office. This role provides the opportunity to take full ownership of significant product areas and develop new features that support a rapidly scaling user base. Google Pay’s Payments team focuses on creating seamless, secure, and simple payment solutions, including consumer transactions and money movement between Google and its users and partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain critical components within the Flutter-based Google Pay application, emphasizing implementation of new features, performance enhancements, user interface development, and integration of remote procedure calls.
- Produce high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code using Android/iOS, Flutter, Java, and Dart technologies.
- Assume ownership of complete user flows, strengthening business logic, reducing latency, and optimizing performance across full-stack architecture.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
- At least two years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year if holding an advanced degree.
- Hands-on experience with mobile development platforms such as Android, iOS, or Flutter.
- Preferred experience includes full-stack development involving backend languages like Java, Python, Golang, or C++, scalable system design for millions of users, and collaboration with product and UX teams to deliver end-to-end features.
