Role overview

Cafe Coffee Day is hiring a New Product Development Manager for its Greater Bengaluru Area operations. The role focuses on creating new food offerings inspired by global trends, while also managing product economics, vendor coordination, quality alignment, and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new food products by studying and adapting global food trends.
• Track competitor offerings and review market best practices for product ideas.
• Build and maintain a product library with trial results and recipe documentation.
• Prepare product costing and margin analysis for newly developed items.
• Create SOPs and training material for new products.
• Conduct train-the-trainer sessions and staff training for product launches.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to source ingredients such as breads, desserts, gravies, sauces, fillings, and seasonings.
• Control product costs and keep improving margins through alternate ingredients and newer vendors.
• Identify process and equipment improvement opportunities within the system.
• Work with the QA team to close product requirements, including specifications, SOPs, nutritional details, and allergen information.
• Contribute across product development, competitor analysis, cost optimisation, vendor management, and process enhancement initiatives.
