Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Operations Associate manages the flow of all pre-sale merchandise entering and leaving the store, ensuring that all shipping and receiving guidelines are strictly followed.
- Organize inventory efficiently, maintaining a clean, secure, and orderly storage area.
- Assist sales personnel by providing access to in-stock merchandise not displayed on the sales floor.
- Anticipate needs related to merchandise upkeep and proactively propose solutions for storage and space challenges.
- Ensure accurate ticketing of all merchandise.
- Support visual merchandising and store operations by relocating fixtures, furniture, props, and merchandise as needed.
- Coordinate facility and fixture maintenance, including cleaning and repairs as necessary.
- Participate actively in inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring timely completion.
- Engage in the inventory reconciliation process to maintain accuracy.
- Manage all inter-store transfers, stock rotations, and shipments in accordance with established policies.
- Comprehend and properly execute all procedures related to inventory maintenance such as handling damages and return to vendor (RTV) processes.
- Maintain high standards in packaging client merchandise.
- Oversee all phases of client deliveries, including resolving issues with missing items.
- Document and track client deliveries to locate merchandise as needed.
- Provide support to other departments and assist on the sales floor when requested by management.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Education from Business School, University, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in retail, particularly focused on stock or inventory management, preferably within a luxury retail environment.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to quickly learn various software applications.
- Strong action orientation and results-driven mindset.
- Customer service focus and excellent social perceptiveness.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of foreign languages is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay for this position ranges from 21 to 25 dollars, commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience.
