About the Role
The Operator Success Coach acts as a strategic business advisor committed to fostering operator growth, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining food quality and safety, and enhancing guest experiences by consistently upholding Krispy Krunchy Foods' brand standards. Operating primarily in the field, this role focuses on supporting post-opening performance, sustaining ongoing operational success, and driving continuous improvements across a designated business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase same-store sales, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction by coaching Operators on areas such as food quality, merchandising, packaging, promotions, labor management, and store execution.
- Perform routine store visits to evaluate operational outcomes, reinforce brand standards, review business analytics, and advocate for continuous improvement efforts.
- Track and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends and gaps, and collaborate with Operators to formulate improvement plans.
- Maintain detailed documentation of operational strengths, challenges, follow-up tasks, and visit insights while ensuring clear communication with Operators and leadership.
- Offer ongoing onsite training and coaching to Operators and store staff based on the latest Operations Execution Manual and approved training resources.
- Assist Operators in resolving operational issues including food quality concerns, product credits, equipment malfunctions, guest problems, and service escalations.
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, operational guidelines, and company expectations.
- Demonstrate and teach best practices related to food preparation, holding, cleanliness, point-of-sale usage, back-office tasks, and daily operations.
- Utilize Salesforce or other approved systems for tracking store activities, managing follow-up actions, identifying opportunities, and facilitating interdepartmental communication.
- Collaborate with Store Opening teams to guarantee a seamless transition from launch to stabilization and foster long-term operational growth.
- Carry out operational initiatives in coordination with Regional Operations Leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in business unit planning and alignment to promote consistent execution across assigned markets.
- Support operational efforts at food industry events, training sessions, and field projects as needed.
- Provide assistance with pre-opening and opening activities as directed by leadership.
- Cultivate strong relationships with Operators and store teams through frequent communication, coaching, support, and diligent follow-through.
- Exemplify professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to company values and standards in all operator interactions.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a current ServSafe Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in restaurant, convenience store, retail, or foodservice operations; experience supporting multi-unit, franchise, or licensed stores is preferred.
- Comprehensive operational knowledge encompassing food safety, sanitation, merchandising, labor management, guest service, point-of-sale systems, and back-office processes.
- Strong skills in coaching, communication, organization, and relationship-building.
- Proven ability to analyze operational metrics, prioritize areas for improvement, and juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Capability to work independently within a field-based setting while maintaining excellent communication and accountability.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and other relevant business platforms is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight and air travel; travel during evenings and weekends may be required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to meet company travel guidelines.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for lengthy periods, drive extensively, bend, twist, and work on ladders.
- Residency within the assigned business unit is mandatory.
