Role Overview
The Pallet Controller will manage daily logistical tasks to ensure efficient warehouse functioning in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. This role demands autonomy in decision-making and offers continuous professional development by leveraging advanced logistics technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify that all pallet transfers include accurate documentation and are properly recorded in designated pallet management software, acting as the second-in-charge on this task.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies such as pallet losses or unprocessed paperwork.
- Conduct training sessions for site staff on pallet software use and operational procedures at assigned locations.
- Review pallet hire invoices meticulously with the goal of minimizing rental quantities and associated expenses.
- Ensure timely and precise submission of reconciliation reports on a weekly basis to the National Pallet Controller and Site Manager.
Qualifications and Attributes
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable pallet control role.
- Relevant background in warehouse or logistics operations is highly preferred.
- Proficient with intermediate Microsoft Office skills and eager to adopt new systems as necessary.
- Demonstrated capability to perform diligently and accurately within a high-activity environment.
- Exposure to Supply Chain or Logistics sectors is advantageous.
- Strong self-drive, motivation, and proactive initiative.
- Demonstrates resilience under pressure.
