Job Overview

This part-time logistics driver role entails supporting team efforts by safely driving trucks, semis, and other related equipment to deliver APC precast products. The position requires flexibility with on-call availability and occasional overnight stays for deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and semi-trailers safely, adhering strictly to federal, state, and company regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and dispatch teams regarding equipment status and concerns.
• Complete all necessary documentation, including forms, tickets, and inspection checklists promptly.
• Execute the safe maneuvering of semis at loading and unloading sites.
• Perform annual servicing and inspections on trucks, semis, and other equipment.
• Adapt to transport a variety of materials and products within Iowa and occasionally out-of-state.
• Maintain cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of transportation vehicles.
• Be willing to stay overnight when required by delivery schedules.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Class A CDL with Airbrakes and Tank Endorsements preferred, along with a valid Medical Certificate.
• Capability to pass DOT-mandated annual inspections.
• Advanced Precast is willing to sponsor and train qualified candidates to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Physical ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds and possess necessary balance, stamina, and coordination.
• Must meet the age requirements to be eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License.
