Coweta Public Schools is seeking to fill a part-time Math Tutor position for the 2026 - 2027 school year, with locations split between Mission and Heritage Intermediate Grade Center.

Role Overview

The position focuses on providing high dosage, personalized academic support to students who need additional help in mathematics. This role is vital in advancing student learning outcomes and assisting them in meeting their academic targets.

Primary Duties

• Conduct individualized or small group math tutoring sessions tailored to student needs.
• Create and implement customized learning strategies based on student progression.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure tutoring aligns with the school curriculum.
• Keep detailed records tracking student achievements and areas of improvement.
• Encourage a supportive and motivating educational atmosphere.
• Participate in professional development and training workshops as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Possess patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to student success.

Working Hours and Compensation

• Maximum of 18 hours per week during the academic school year only.
• Compensation set at $40 per hour.
