Job Overview

We are currently hiring an experienced and driven Porter to join our Market-rate Community, Ocean Walk Apartments, which comprises 297 units located in Key West, FL. This is a full-time position focused on maintaining high company standards by supporting maintenance, landscaping, and management teams to uphold the cleanliness and order of the property. The role aims to ensure residents' living experience is exceptional, particularly focusing on first and last impressions. Staying alert to any conditions impacting the quality of the living environment is essential.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the property, including front walkways, sidewalks, decks, hallways, stairwells, office and lobby spaces, patios, sport courts, pool and furniture, garages, pet parks, and other amenities consistently.
• Collect, empty, and transport trash and refuse to designated disposal locations.
• Clean vacant apartments and support unit turnover processes as needed.
• Operate blowers in common areas and perform grass cutting and trimming tasks.
• Prepare surfaces and execute painting assignments when directed.
• Perform pressure cleaning of common areas.
• Ensure all inventory supplies and equipment remain functional and well-maintained.
• Adapt to working in diverse indoor and outdoor settings, accommodating fluctuating outdoor temperatures.
• Engage in physical activities such as heavy lifting and ladder climbing as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED, combined with one to two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Prior experience in the apartment or residential community industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices including dusting, vacuuming, and general cleaning is required.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and effective time management skills are necessary.
