The Procurement Specialist role is a vital part of the purchasing network, specifically managing indirect materials and services such as maintenance spare parts, and reporting to the Financial Controller. This position requires working on contract negotiations, supplier management, compliance, and cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing processes for all supplies, equipment, and services across departments to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, ensure proper supplier designation, verify account coding, and delegate requisition processing to staff.
• Lead team meetings to support decision-making and optimize spend on services and indirect materials.
• Monitor inventory accuracy via cycle counts in collaboration with Engineering, and implement corrective actions if stock accuracy falls below standards.
• Ensure factory adherence to Nestlé Purchasing Policies through regular audits.
• Negotiate contracts for localized indirect materials and services procurement.
• Collaborate with strategic suppliers and plant teams to identify and implement cost savings opportunities.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and support corporate purchasing initiatives on national projects.
• Provide assistance to various departments on special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Business, Finance, or related analytical disciplines.
• At least two years of experience in finance, manufacturing, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Basic proficiency in accounting principles.
• Strong negotiation capabilities.
• Excellent cooperation and proactive teamwork skills.
• Results-driven with keen attention to detail.
• Advanced analytical skills; proficient with SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness and ability to conduct on-site visits (Gemba) and audit inventory with teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately $65,382 to $88,323 annually, subject to candidate qualifications and location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with company matching and healthcare options. Incentives and benefits vary depending on position.
