Overview
We are recruiting a QHSE Officer responsible for implementing, overseeing, and enhancing the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Management System across yard and project sites in Abu Dhabi. This role ensures strict adherence to ADNOC Codes of Practice, client health and safety requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least three years of experience working on ADNOC projects, demonstrating expertise in ADNOC Codes of Practice, health and safety procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and clients' HSE policies.
- Documented successful completion of the ADNOC HSE Interview and possession of a valid National Guard Security Pass for ADNOC site access.
- Experience supporting site operations, conducting HSE audits, managing incident reporting, and ensuring safety compliance.
- Prior involvement in major EPC or drilling projects is an advantage.
- Holding a valid UAE driving license is desirable.
- Mandatory NEBOSH IGC certification, with additional certifications such as IOSH Managing Safely, ADNOC-approved HSE training, First Aid Certificate, and Fire Fighting Certificate.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, sustain, and consistently enhance QHSE policies, procedures, and standards aligned with ADNOC Codes of Practice, HSE regulations, client criteria, and company directives.
- Deliver proactive HSE guidance and oversight across yard and project operations, including routine inspections, workplace vigilance, hazard detection, risk evaluation, and the enforcement of control strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work systems and advocate for safe work conduct.
- Prepare, assess, and keep updated Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Job Safety Analyses, ensuring risk control measures are effectively applied.
- Facilitate HSE onboarding, safety meetings, and awareness initiatives to foster a robust safety culture and drive ongoing improvements.
- Lead the investigation of incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions; develop corrective and preventive action (CAPA) reports and track resolution progress.
- Assist with both internal and external HSE audits while maintaining meticulous HSE documentation and records.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams, client representatives, and external parties on all QHSE matters to guarantee communication effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
