As part of this team, you will contribute significantly to upholding and enhancing our Quality Management System within a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply and analyze processes documented in Caterpillar's Quality Management System to drive ongoing improvements.
• Handle and execute global quality procedures aligned with Caterpillar's standards.
• Coordinate and perform internal quality audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Manage area-specific quality metrics and curate relevant documentation and training materials.
• Support certification processes and quick-response quality tasks including print interpretation, deviation handling, engineering changes, and inspection method reviews.
• Organize quality training initiatives and manage sample part programs.
• Investigate and resolve nonconformance issues involving purchased, finished, rough, and inter-plant materials through detailed analysis and long-term problem investigations.
• Develop and implement electronic data and clerical systems to improve divisional efficiency.
• Generate regular reports on supplier quality status, highlighting significant trends and critical issues.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in quality system design and instructional methodology improvements.
• Function as a specialist providing consultation and problem-solving advice across multiple divisions, primarily serving internal customers.
• Address quality challenges by selecting optimal solutions from known options and promoting key quality goals including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and compliance with ISO 9000 certifications.
• Monitor adherence to quality standards and implement corrective action plans as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing with a strong grasp of quality management principles, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant quality assurance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Thorough knowledge of quality concepts like process control, data analysis, and both internal and ISO 9000 certification standards.
• Well-developed communication, collaboration, and leadership influence skills to engage effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in quality tools with the capability to train personnel in their proper application.
• Advanced computer skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Additional Details

• Position based in Hosur requiring full onsite presence, five days per week.
